Enviroschools Kids Conference
Ten Opoutere students attended the Enviroschool’s event at the Kaueranga Visitor Centre in Thames. They explored the theme of Whanaungatanga or interconnectedness through interactive workshops. The students took part in pest management, science of water, learning about native lizards and kauri dieback. Each school had a chance to speak about an environmental issue that they were passionate about and Totara students did us proud talking about their marine conservation and their campaign to get rid of plastic bags. Great job guys.
